lets go explore together layout

Today I'm sharing a layout I created with the shimelle star shine
I wanted to document a little trip my hubby and I went on .... sometimes we just drive to places we haven't been in a while just to see all the changes that has happened.

I normally use a white background but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and use
Patterned paper for my background I think it pops with the dark border and machine stitching around it

I used the thickers for part of my title and  I used my silhouette cameo to cut out explore

It's a simple layout

Dream big layout using Shimelle Star shine

Hi there,
I'm sharing a layout I created just playing around with
This paper collection from shimelle and americancrafts
I really enjoyed the colours in this collection , they just blend so well
And so colourful I love adding colour to my layouts

So this layout I created is of my daughter eve when we went to bamboo land and took tons of photos
She wanted lots of photos taken of her while we were there..

I was thinking simple design but wanted to use some of the cut apart sheets with the journaling cards and the patterned paper strips, so I decided on the floral patterned paper for top and bottom cutting one at about 3 inches and the other at one inch and the light blue strip was from the top of the perforated bit ..I liked the colour so I used it no wastage...

I used it for top and bottom that way it blends in with the top of the tag

I fussy cut the word dream out for part of my title and used the thickers to do the word big
I fussy cut the flower and camera to add some embellishments

And used the love quote down the bottom of my layout
I think with my next layout using this collection I might do a bigger photo and us some of my cut files

Here is a process video of how I created this layout

Girly Layout | Doodlebug Design DT

Hi their !
sharing a layout all about me, I've chosen a photo of me when I was little feeding rainbow lorikeets
That gives you a hint something about me....

With my layout I started with my white cardstock and using clear gesso and a stencil
I applied it to my cardstock then sprinkled glitter over the stencilled clear gesso
Then I matted my white cardstock on to the grey polka dot patterned paper and machine stitched around the edge

I layered several bits of patterned paper on top of each other creating a layered affect
And I stapled them together to keep them together
I matted my photo on patterned paper and add a few doilies behind along with a flower tucked underneath
The top right hand corner then I added a shape sprinkles to the center

Using some of the pretty twine I tied a bow and added it to the top of the photo with a mini peg

I added another flower in the bottom left hand corner of the photo with some leaves cut from white cardstock

Then lastly I added a few sequins around the background

My creative space

So this has been a fun and fabulous process redecorating my creative space to how I like it ..
It's still a work in progress but I have more space to create now and I'm hoping that it will be easier to take
Photos using props in my background as it is pretty

And yep I got my Alex draws the other day so I'm totally excited about that I've been wanting them for such a long time but i just had to have them and I will probably store adhesives in their and new product I'm working with..I'm still working on getting more storage for under my desk but that can wait a while

And this is on the other side of my room the desk where I film my process videos so that is clean and ready for me to get creative and have fun

And because I couldn't resist sniping up some patterned papers I decided to play in my travellers notebook

I will probably share more photos of my creative space as I clean and decorate it..
Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking it out

There is a sunshine in my soul layout | Shop and crop DT

Today I'm sharing a layout I created for shop and crop last month with lasts months kit using
fancy pants designs - Hello sunshine
So I thought I would scrap some of my favourite stuff that I like to take photos of, I love walking around the garden and looking at all the flowers in bloom and take photos of them ..I guess now my girls are growing up they would rather take a selfie then have their photo taken by someone else lol but anyway

I used this fabulous flower photo on my layout
The pinks, greens and yellow just went perfect with this patterned paper
I love layering my white cardstock over the patterned paper giving it a border around the edge I think it helps draw the eye to the main focal point of the layout.

It's a simple design but works really well with the little cluster of patterned papers in the centre and embellishments, and I just adore that pineapple how cute the perfect pop of yellow

I addd a few little embellishments at the top of my photo
Tag and a tab with a bit of twine

I used a die cut for my title

And lastly here is a look at my photo and paper cluster close up

Summer layout | Prima Marketing DT

Hi there,
I'm sharing a layout I created for prima using the st.tropez collection
I wanted to stay with the colours pink , black and light blue for this layout
And only adding a few of the butterfly's punched from the sand colour patterned paper

I felt it blended with the little pops of orange in the floral patterned paper from the collection
And I went with a black and white photo as I didn't want to much green and blue

I used my cameo to cut one of my cut files out a big doily for the centre of the layout
Using the light blue and I layered my photo and my fussy cut flowers on top

I stitched a border around my white cardstock after I matted it on the floral patterned paper
And tucked more flowers just under the edge of the doily
Then I added a few flowers and flicked some black gesso across the white cardstock

Here is a process video of how I created this layout

lifes too short layout - Amy tangerine finders keepers

Hi there,
Today I decided to have a bit of a scrap after doing some house work
I felt like playing with lots of colour I pulled out some Amy tangerine finders keepers collection
And some prima black gesso...

Using a paint brush and the black gesso I added strokes across the white cardstock
At top and bottom then after letting the gesso dry I then use on of the prima watercolor pencils
To add droplets across the brushed gesso strokes

Next I started choosing my papers to layer over the top of the strokes and a cutfile floral ampersand
Having the cutfile cut in white cardstock will pop on the page with the black gesso behind

Then lastly I added lots of die cuts from the ephemera pack and a few of the enamel heart stickers
Around my clusters of patterned papers

spoilt crazy cat | Shop and crop DT

Hi their,
Today I'm sharing a layout created with the fabulous pet collection by flutterby designs

And for my layout I decided to go with purple, blue, green, pink, yellow and orange
Pretty much most of the colours but I wanted the purple to stand out so I used it as a border around my white cardstock .

Then I chose the multiple stripes to bring more colour into the layout
as I wanted the design to got down the middle of the cardstock
Then I worked on layering the colours on to of each other and staggering them just a bit

After I had the layers I added the cute cut file cut out behind my photo
Letting the colours show through the top and bottom of the coloured layers

I fussy cut the words out for my title and adding them around my photo

And here is a look at my photo and title

Then to finish off the layout I flicked black gesso and added so colourful enamel dots
